One to One Counselling Sessions

I see counselling as a creative process, each individual has their own unique way of exploring their inner selves and finding the answers they seek, so they can live a happier more fulfilling life.

I provide a confidential and safe space, being empathic in my way of being with out judgement. We can work together as I join you in your journey, I can engage, enable and empower you by using different approaches, showing positive regard so you are able to find your way. These forms of expression may help you find the thoughts and emotions you are unable to speak or express, so you can find your freedom to be who you really are, releasing stress and anxiety, develop healthy coping mechanisms, moving on with your life 

Trauma 

Trauma is the response to a deeply distressing or disturbing event that overwhelms an individual’s ability to cope, causes feelings of helplessness, diminishes their sense of self and their ability to feel the full range of emotions and experiences.Traumatic events can manifest as physical sensations in the body as well as psychologically impacting on the quality of life, such as sleep deprivation(nightmares), hypervigilance, avoidance and flash backs.

Working creatively in the here and now using a variety of mediums i.e.( imagery, symbols , stones and written form) enable my clients to find their voice, reconnect with the body and have a deeper understanding of thoughts and feelings from the impact of trauma. 

Therapy helps clients to have insight and awareness into their own lives and make changes to their patterns of behaviour, working through the trauma and focusing on the mind and body brings awareness to the emotional and physical blockages that have been trapped.

Meditation and mindfulness

I can offer one to one sessions or you might like to incorporate this into your Counselling session. Learn how to truly connect with your mind, body and spirit, releasing stress allowing yourself the time to stop and pause, to come into the here and now enabling you to be in the moment. Connect with your inner peace, enables you to be more connected with yourself and find other ways of overcoming obstacles in your life. Meditation can empower you to be able to follow your own life road map to happier times. Group session may also be available.
